This course covers the basics of Cross Laminated Construction, commonly known as CLT. The class will introduce the principles of CLT construction including the materials and methods used. In addition, the course will examine the procedures to manufacture and transport the panels, which can easily reach lengths of 40' or more. Rigging Awareness training is also included in this class. Other areas of interest involve the hardware used to lift and connect the panels and a review of rigging safety and signals. Completion of this course does not give a Rigging Qualification. That is a separate course.
